Hello lovely people, thanks for taking time out and yes I know the week has been favourable 🙂
I feel the need to use this medium to elaborate on something that affects the lives of millions of women, breast cancer. I know precious lives that have gone fighting and many continue to fight. You can see why it’s an area that is close to the heart. My good friend Bukola states the need for awareness:
The exact cause of breast cancer is unknown although the consensus is that it’s perhaps due to combination of risk factors such as age over 50, previous cancer, taking hormonal treatment over a long period of time, adverse lifestyle such as overweight, heavy smoking and drinking over several years. The risk of breast cancer also increases within an immediate family as a result of inherited breast cancer gene. Symptoms of breast cancer include lump(s) in breast, change in shape or size of breast, inverted nipple, and discharge from nipple. A woman’s breast may feel different at different times due to hormonal changes. It is therefore paramount to be familiar with the look and feel of your breasts from an early age to be aware of what’s normal for you. Regular checks for lumps and other changes are important. The earlier breast cancer is diagnosed, the better the chance of it being successfully treated. If you’re concerned, consult your General Practitioner. Be breast aware!

Everyday research is on going to find a lasting cure so that women can enjoy a better life. Just Giving, an organisation launched in 2001 has enabled over 13,000 charities through over 21 million people to raise at least £1.5 million for good causes including breast cancer support. More of their work and how you can get involved can be found here
I share a passion to support this great charitable cause, including Anthonia Osammor, a very good friend from university days who is also a medical doctor by profession. She will be running a women’s only race for breast cancer care to raise funds. Please help by donating directly to their fundraising page http://www.justgiving.com/Antonia-Osammor
The donations are sent straight to Breast Cancer Care and automatically reclaim gift aid if you are a UK taxpayer, so your donation is worth more!
Thank you so muchhhhhhh for your support!
