Happy new week!
Its great to be back after a busy summer.. although I am taking things easy on the blogging side as I try to do more of social media interactive … aka Instagram, youtube, Facebook! Some mums have expressed that they are able to interact with me better this way and to be honest, life as a busy mum has been pretty busier especially as my children are stepping up classes- more homework and more after school activities added to being a working mum and an entrepreneur… anyone feel me?phew! Thank God for strength and ability to do what I love to do.
So as we get into the busy term of school, I know the challenges that many of us have when we are faced with packing our children school lunch pack on a daily basis. I have shared some tips to mums one on one, or in a group setting. A few tips to help preparing school lunch pack
- Plan you lunch pack every week. This way you are varying your child’s lunch box fillers
- Include what your child likes to eat and not what you “wish” they like to eat.
- If you must introduce something new in the lunch box, let it be in a small quantity (if its a fruit, a small piece will do)
- Put a variety in the lunch pack, any uneaten food will let you know what is liked and what isn’t (for example, a combination of fruit sticks, wraps or sandwich, savoury snacks and water)
To hep with some ideas for busy mums and their children, I will be hosting an hour session at the International Food Festival organised by AllWomensNetwork, UK to teach children of primary school age how to make some of their own lunch box fillers as part of Black History Month celebrations in the Borough of Barking and Dagenham. ESSEX. United Kingdom.
It will be targeted at children aged 5-11 years old :).
Do you live in London or Essex?
Are you are busy mum struggling with lunch box ideas?
Would you like your children to be able to know how to make some of their lunch packs themselves?
Would you benefit from having a lunch pack planner? To add to that, a hard, signed copy of my best selling book… Tasty kids recipes for busy mums
If you have answered yes to all these, then please make it a date with me on October 14 at 2pm. Dagenham Library, 1 Church Elm Lane. Dagenham. RM10 9QS To book your child at a cost of £10, please send an email with Book me to firstname.lastname@example.org and your child’s name.
