Hola! As the Spanish will say. It’s the blessed month of August! BIG thanks to you for taking time out as usual.
There is no better time to feature this truly inspiring project led by a lady I find very interesting indeed! She shares a desire and passion to be a blessing to people by affecting their lives positively and engaging the local community as a whole with the help of God Almighty of course! It’s a privilege I have to say when one is able to give back to the community and touch lives in many unimaginable ways. It is an act of LOVE and truly a GIFT to be cherished.
“The Fashionistas Give Away Initiative” is the brainchild of Uyoyou Oladapo and friends who are progressive and responsible individuals present in different works of life for example Banking, Engineering, Design, Event Planning, Catering, Travel &Tourism etc.
The vision behind the initiative is to give to the needy (people who can’t feed, the jobless, orphans, widows and widowers alike) etc. in the form of a charity giveaway outing! The charity outing is a one day annual event, set aside to give away various items of need to people like food, clothing etc. Nice! I have to say, I do like the caption too *smile*
Now, going further, the project will also aim to provide seminars and vocational workshops as a great empowerment tool for individuals in the community! That’s awesome! It reminds of that phrase that says “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show him how to catch fish, and you feed him for a lifetime”!.
The first outing is on Thursday 8 August, 2013 @ Archbishop Taylor Memorial School, Adetokunbo Ademola, opposite Eko Hotel, Victoria Island. Lagos, Nigeria. West Africa.
It starts from 1pm and finishes at 5pm
Please help by telling everyone you know who you believe will benefit from this. It’s truly amazing the difference this can make to someone’s life out there.

“Let someone go to bed thanking God for you”!
I love and leave you with my daily quote which has always kept me going “keep making it happen”! I hope it works for you too 🙂
