Thank you for taking time to read. Hope you had a fabb valentine weekend 2015. It was a nice one and a triple one at home (son’s birthday, wedding anniversary, valentines day)- triple celebration 🙂
As it was valentines day, we wanted a chicken starter and I wanted to make something that celebrated love so I decided on making heart shaped escalopes- very simple to make and tasty too :)- who does not like that?
– Portion of chicken breast fillets
– Rapeseed oil (1 teaspoon)
– Bottle of honey
– A bit butter for added flavour 🙂
[Herbs, spices, seasoning: chopped parsley, curry powder, black pepper, knorr chicken seasoning (or alternative chicken seasoning), oregano, salt to taste]
Clean chicken breast fillet and season with curry powder, chopped parley, chicken seasoning, salt to taste
Heat up 1 tsp rapeseed oil, add a little butter and place the chicken so it starts to sizzle. Add the black pepper and oregano. The chicken will cook quickly as they are thinly cut. So , they only need to be in the heat for a few minutes. (turn on both sides to ensure that the heat goes through the chicken)
When chicken is almost cooked, place on an oven tray
Using a heart shaped tin cutter, I made some heart shapes, can you spot the heart shapess in the pic? (don’t worry, the rest of the chicken was not wasted, it was roasted and we ate them all) 🙂
I drizzled over some honey and placed in the oven at 180 degrees for at least 15 minutes to caramelize.
And it’s ready….I just garnished with some leafy salad(drizzled over lemon oil for the adults) 🙂
Oh so yummyy- simple, quick starter, tasty tooo. A perfect starter for the home.
Have a fabulous new week!
Blessings and loveee
