What a title… yeah I know :).
Hello and thanks for taking time out to read. I hope the sunshine is shining bright on you and yours.
The past week has been business as usual along with the joysss of womanhood and motherhood
(yes we know that feeling, don’t we) but in all things give thanks to God Almighty!
Over the weekend, I was at a ladies retreat organised by the founder of Super Working Mum, Aloted Omoba (I featured her on celebrating womanhood sometime ago, you can read that post here). Oh, It was indeed a weekend of excitement, fun, interaction, networking, learning and sometime away from the kids ha ha. It came at the right time and was so needed. EVERY MUM DESERVES A BREAK, don’t you agree?. I bring you some of the juicy details and photos 😀
The host venue was De vere venues in Buckinghamshire with lovely scenery, good food, great leisure facilities- a perfect venue for Super Working Mums haha
The scenery was really nice
I have to say the food was good (breakfast, lunch and dinner), the rooms were ideal and my oh my did we network. Some pics taken by some of the lovely ladies….
The lovely Aloted speaking to us on the essence of the retreat and SWM
because we can forget that its our time to relax and not worrying about who is messing up the living room etc lol
Pardon the pic quality, we were having too much fun……
Great time of praise and worship. We had the lovely Evangelist Fiona speaking on the importance of being in God’s secret place …. Powerful words FOR SPIRITUAL AND MENTAL GROWTH!
The venue had goooood leisure facilities which we used to the fullest! Well, I have no pictures of those because
a) We were too busy having fun relaxing and networking
b) You should be at the next one to experience for yourself! haha
Lovely Misi and Mua
We had popcorn movie nights- two nights of good film entertainment part 1 of “why did I get married” and the following night we watched part 1 of “act like a lady, think like a man”- Two great films with lessons to learn- Watch them if you haven’t :).
There were some raffle draws with lovely gift items won by some of the ladies. SWM gave out goodie bags…
I gave away a nice tea towel and a gorgeous apron (forgot to take a pic of them 🙁 .. never mind the winners were happy :). Other event sponsors
There was praise and worship on sunday led by one of the gorgeous ladies in the group, followed by a short bible message on prayer led by our lovely Funmi Onamusi of Help I am a Mum
It all ended with fun and joy and a healthy lunch 😀
Now SWM will be having another retreat in November 2014. If you like what you have seen and know you NEED THAT BREAK :), then get on the waiting list because it goes fast!
Before I love you and leave you for now, Traycees now offers private dinning services and catering for private parties, birthdays and special occasions. You can check out our what we offer page to give you some idea 🙂 (Just get in touch if that’s easier, lol). I recently made some canapés for a wedding so stay tuned for the juicy info….
