It was half term last week, and finally got that much needed rest. It was also my son’s birthday and one of his treats was a trip to the cinema to watch Paddington 2. If your kids have not watched it, I highly recommend it (although I was told that the kids need to watch Paddington 1 to fully understand part 2)? Well, my kids understood the story perfectly without watching part 1:)
So I posted week 2 feature (Blueberries pancakes with nutella dipping) as Pancake day feature last week on my instagram page Traycees Food Fashion and on Facebook . I was so pleased with the level of interaction and mums sending personal feedback to me. Awesome!
Apologies if you are only just seeing this as I did say I would be behind in posting on the blog. However, if you need the breakfast inspiration real time? then, please follow on the insta page.
The pancake recipe was taken from the Tasty Kids Recipe Cook Book for busy mums and very easy to make using flour, eggs, milk.
Ingredients– make about 6/8 pancakes depending on size
250ml cup plain flour
25ml cup fresh milk
Pinch of salt or sugar- I did not use any because the kids had it with nutella dip which I felt was already sweet! However, you can add sugar in moderation to yours or simply use maple syrup 🙂
Mix the flour, egg and milk a mixing bowl- whisk properly to get that fluffy pancake *wink*
Grease a pan, and when hot, add the batter using a large soup spoon. Swirl the pan to get the batter to form a nice circle 🙂
Allow to cook for about 1 minute. The, flip over to allow other side to cook for another minute.
Remove and place on a plate. Cover with foil or baking sheet or even a clean cotton cloth to retain the heat. Re-grease the pan very lightly, and repeat the above process until the batter is used up
What you get, are some lovely pancakes your kids will thank you for!
Stay connected for more kids special this February! Until next post
